for the fastest charge, connect the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to the wall outlet using the USB cable that came with the device and the adapter.
Connect the device directly into the USB port on your computer (no external keyboard) using the USB cable that came with your device. Your computer must be turned on and not in sleep or standby mode. Otherwise, the battery may drain instead of charge
for the fastest charge while connected to the computer, remove all USB devices except keyboard and mouse, or use external USB hub and connect USB devices added, including the iPhone or iPod Touch.
If you use a laptop or notebook computer, make sure it is plugged into power and that the panel is open. If the display is closed, the computer may go into standby, sleep, or hibernation and iPhone or iPod Touch can not be collected.

Always make sure your software up to date. Manually back up your data before doing any updates. iTunes will automatically tell you when you have an update available for your device when connected.
Turn off WIFI when not in use. Settings> WIFI iOS devices will constantly search for the network, while on WIFI, even if there is anything available. It will drain your battery.
Turn Bluetooth off when not in use. Settings> General> Bluetooth. iOS devices will constantly search for Bluetooth network or device while the Bluetooth is turned on, even if there is anything available. It will drain your battery.
Adjust screen brightness, brighter screen, the more power will be drained. You can adjust the brightness of the two places. Settings> Brightness and Wallpaper "or rapid App Switching Bar pressing Home button twice, and swiping from left to right on the toolbar to display the brightness control.
Turn Location Services Off. Settings> General> Location Services. You will not be able to use the map as it is off, but if you leave it at what is happening is the device will constantly be trying to find its position and it takes a lot of power.
If the problem still manually copy your data and then restore the device to factory settings. Set it as a new device. Then optimize your settings. See if the problem continues.
